          <dc:description>This paper analyzes the publicness in the fan practices of the Korean idol group, BTS. 2 case studies of fan activities on social media and secondary sources from news articles were analyzed. This paper focuses on the communications practiced by BTS’s fans and the discovery that through online fan activities, fans achieve the assimilation of social divisions and demonstrated signs of resistance toward the establishment. Further analysis of fan practices in multi-method approaches will be the subject of future research.</dc:description>
